A very generous person who we never actually met gave us a used crib when I was pregnant with James. Not only has this drop side crib been recalled this year, but it really wasn’t my design style. The sides were a blonde wood and the top pieces were a dark painted color (maybe forest green or black originally?) that was badly faded and scratched. This time around I really wanted to buy a 4-fixed-sided crib that would become a great toddler bed, then turn into a full sized head board eventually.

We struck gold when Wal-Mart.com had this crib with brand new Sealy mattress by Kolcraft on sale for $135 + free shipping!

We also didn’t have a changing table with James because he had a built in desk in his nursery (which we attached a changing pad to). I wanted the matching changing table for the crib we bought, but it retails for $79.99. That’s just not in the budget right now. However, yesterday my awesome mother-in-law spotted this changing table on clearance for $45 at Target, plus she used her team member discount and red card discount  to take off even more money!

Although these aren’t the same model, they are both Graco and both Espresso finishes. I highly doubt anyone would tell they aren’t a set by just looking at them. We are so pleased with the results. One step closer to being all ready for our little girl!
